In a constantly changing society, quality education and the support offered to children and their families represent the pillars of a healthy and prosperous community. In this context, we are pleased to announce the launch of the project ,,BufKids Educational Center”, a space dedicated to the harmonious development of children and the support of families in our community, with the financial support of United Way Romania (UWRo).
Main project objectives:
The project aims to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that contributes to the formation of future generations. Among our main objectives are:
- Providing quality education through after-school programs and non-formal activities. These will include creative workshops, personal development courses, homework support, and interactive educational activities.
- Providing constant material support for children and their families, in order to reduce inequalities and offer equal opportunities for education and development.
- Ensuring a daily hot meal in the cafeteria, which will open in May 2024. Through this, we aim to contribute to the physical well-being of the children, ensuring their nutritional needs for a day full of energy and activity.
- Creating an environment suitable to the emotional, academic, and social development of children, offering individualized support and promoting empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Why is this project important?
The ,,BufKids Educational Center” represents a concrete response to the current needs of the community, where many children and families face economic and social challenges. Through this center, we aim to become a trusted partner for parents and a constant support for children, contributing to their long-term development.
Project funding
This project is made possible thanks to the financial support provided by United Way Romania (UWRo), an organization dedicated to improving living conditions and education for vulnerable communities. The partnership with UWRo allows us to implement our ambitious initiatives and provide children and families in Buftea with the resources they need.

Results
- Quality education for children
- Over 50 children benefited from after-school programs and non-formal activities, which improved their school performance and personal skills.
- Organization of creative activities, personal development courses, and educational support sessions.
- Constant material support
- 30 vulnerable families received regular material assistance, including food, school supplies, clothing, and other necessary resources.
- Providing backpacks and educational materials for the children enrolled in the program.
- Daily hot meal
- Starting in May 2024, the center’s cafeteria provided a daily hot meal for 50 children, contributing to their physical health and well-being.
- Emotional and social development
- Children benefited from counseling sessions and group activities designed to develop self-confidence, empathy, and communication skills.
- Creating a safe and welcoming environment where children feel encouraged to express themselves freely and collaborate with others.
Project impact
Thanks to this project, we have managed to create a stable framework in which children can learn, grow, and dream of a better future. The material and emotional support provided has significantly reduced the risks of school dropout and increased children’s motivation to continue their education.
The ,,BufKids Educational Center” project is a concrete example of how education, solidarity, and involvement can transform the lives of those around us. We continue to work on expanding and improving the center’s activities, helping to build a stronger and more united community.
