Focus on Assistance in Integrity Management and Family Identity Bonds through the Integration of Emotional Needs
Description
The E-FAMILY FINE project, implemented by the Hercules Association in partnership with Buftea Social Assistance Directorate between 01.02.2025 – 31.01.2028, is co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus under the Inclusion and Social Dignity Programme 2021-2027. The project aims to improve the situation of children living in poverty who are at risk of separation from their families. It targets at least 278 children, including 30 children of Roma ethnicity,residing in Buftea, Ilfov county, (within the more developed Bucharest-Ilfov region) the project provides support services for at least 18 months for at least 250 children, implementation period.
General Objective

The General Objective of the the E-FAMILY FINE project (Focus on Assistance in Integrity Management and Family Identity Bonds through the Integration of Emotional Needs) involves complex and personalized measures to improve the situation of children living in poverty at risk of separation from their families. Targeting at least 278 children (including 30 Roma children)residing in Buftea, Ilfov county, (within the more developed Bucharest-Ilfov region) the project provides support services for at least 18 months for at least 250 children, ensuring an improved situation as a direct result of the project's interventions.
Specific Objectives
Identifying and selecting 278 children for the target group (under 18 at the start of the operation) in Buftea, based on specific eligibility criteria, and developing 278 individualized service plans.
Providing psychological counseling sessions for children and families, family therapy, support groups, and parenting/family psychology sessions, while identifying and combating various types of domestic violence for the 278 children from our target group.
Conducting vocational orientation sessions to identify professional interests and skills for at least 100 children, through individual and group sessions led by vocational experts.
Implementing educational support activities to prevent family separation, reduce school dropout and absenteeism, and improve academic standing for at least 100 children.
Developing independent living skills through workshops: 140 children in cooking and household management, 140 children in financial education and entrepreneurship, and 140 children in personal hygiene.
Implementing social and leisure activities, including sports, creative, communication/debate, technology/innovation, and upcycling clubs, tailored to the age and interests of the 278 children from our target group in corelation with the age, talent and their options.
: Conducting information and prevention activities regarding family planning and healthy lifestyles, led by experts in specially equipped spaces for the 278 children
Launching 6 awareness campaigns with 50 participants each to sensitize the community to the harmful impacts of alcohol and drug abuse, promoting a healthy family environment and civic spirit.
Providing legal counseling sessions, including 140 individual sessions, 15 group sessions, and 5 online information sessions regarding the rights of persons with disabilities.
Accompanying families in meeting basic needs by supporting the 40 most disadvantaged families with household appliances and furniture, and providing 278 children with packages containing food, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing/footwear.
Organizing 8 community networking and consultation sessions and developing 8 sustainable institutional partnerships to disseminate know-how and identify new funding opportunities.

Activities
A0.1 Conducting a needs analysis study to substantiate the project regarding support for children living in poverty at risk of family separation.
