Adventure Through Reading
Project supported by United Way Romania
Description
“Adventure Through Reading” is a project dedicated to stimulating children’s interest in books and reading, offering them the opportunity to discover new stories, inspiring ideas, and worlds full of imagination. Through group-based activities, students had the chance to read, discuss the texts, express their emotions and opinions, and develop their communication and critical thinking skills.
The program included interactive reading sessions and creative activities inspired by the books read, turning reading into an enjoyable and motivating experience. We hope that this connection with reading will remain an integral part of the lives of all children involved in the project.
Reading clubs were established in the following schools:
– “Ilie Stoenescu” Lower Secondary School, Boțești (Argeș);
– “Prof. Ion Vișoiu” Lower Secondary School, Chitila (Ilfov);
– “Smaranda, Dumitru Roman” Lower Secondary School, Vizurești (Dâmbovița);
– Lower Secondary School No. 2, Buftea;
– Lower Secondary School No. 1, Glina;
– Cățelu Lower Secondary School (Ilfov).
We thank all the teachers, volunteers, and partners who supported the implementation of this project and contributed to fostering a culture of reading among children.
