The Hercules Association, in partnership with the "Dumitru Dumitrescu" Technological High School and the "Barbu A. Știrbey" Technological High School from Buftea, Ilfov County, announces the launch of the E-FOCUS project – Students Focused on Optimizing Useful and Sustainable Competencies. This project is co-financed by the European Social Fund+ through the Education and Employment Program 2021-2027.
With a duration of 24 months, the project aims to improve the quality of high school and vocational education systems for 260 students residing in the Bucharest-Ilfov region. These students are enrolled in the partner educational institutions: P1 "Dumitru Dumitrescu" Technological High School and P2 "Barbu A. Știrbey" Technological High School. The project facilitates professional internships with relevant regional economic agents who possess the necessary equipment and know-how, thereby performing a transfer of key knowledge and skills. This will facilitate students' access to the labor market while contributing to the increased quality and relevance of the professional environment. Furthermore, at the end of the internships, students will be supported in taking their professional qualification certification exams, which will facilitate their placement in the labor market under optimal conditions.
Project Objectives:
- recruiting 260 students from the partner educational units (130 from P1 "Dumitru Dumitrescu" and 130 from P2 "Barbu A. Știrbey"), including students from technical profiles and vocational schools residing in the Bucharest-Ilfov region, to facilitate their involvement in applied internships throughout the project.
- signing at least 12 sustainable partnership agreements between the partner education providers (schools) and internship partners (companies/associative structures, potential employers of future graduates).
- creating a bidirectional information system between the educational units and the internship partners by establishing and developing an online information-sharing group.
- organizing and conducting professional internships for the 260 students in the target group over a period of 23 months.
- organizing professional qualification certification exams to increase quality and relevance for the labor market.

Total Project Value: 2,462,775.92 lei, of which the EU co-financing value is 985,110.36 lei.
