Asociația Hercules este o organizație non-guvernamentală care vizează îmbunătățirea calității vieții copiilor defavorizați și combaterea sărăciei moștenite din generație în generație, încurajând educația celor mai tineri membri ai comunității. În centre educaționale de zi, oferim copiilor sprijin școlar, educație formală și non-formală, oportunități de creștere, experiențe pozitive, șansa la un viitor mai bun și la o copilărie mai fericită. Prin responsabilitate, onestitate, bun simț, solidaritate, perseverență, tenacitate, generozitate, implicare și recunoștință acționăm pentru o lume în care cât mai mulți copii proveniți din familii vulnerabile beneficiază de educație de calitate și de sprijin emoțional, reușind astfel să devină adulți împliniți, independenți, responsabili, integrați și morali.

Asociația Hercules, a construit pas cu pas un parcurs solid, dedicat sprijinirii comunităților și dezvoltării copiilor din medii vulnerabile. Fiecare etapă reflectă implicarea constantă, parteneriatele valoroase și dorința de a crea oportunități reale pentru educație și creștere personală.

1994 – Founding of the Hercules Association

The Hercules Association was established with the mission to support, promote, and implement social, humanitarian, and educational activities.

2000 – Initiating the Hercules Center

With the support of the Heidi Fonds organization from the Netherlands, the Hercules Association acquired the building that would house the Hercules Center and serve as the association’s current headquarters.

2007 – Opening of the Hercules Center

With the support of the Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation, the Hercules Association opened the Hercules Day Center. Here, children from underprivileged backgrounds receive educational support, homework assistance, a warm meal, and a safe space for personal development.

2018 – Initiating the BufKids Center

The Hercules Association, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the Buftea Town Hall, built a replica of the Hercules Day Center from the ground up. This project, named the BufKids Day Center, was created specifically for the underprivileged community in Buftea.

2020 – Opening of the BufKids Center

The Hercules Association’s educational model was successfully replicated with the opening of the BufKids Day Center in Buftea, Ilfov County. Underprivileged children are supported through educational activities, psychological counseling, daily meals, and the provision of school supplies, books, clothing, and hygiene products.
