For us, supporting education also means investing in the spaces where learning takes place. In 2024, we contributed to the renovation of the sports campus of the “Barbu Știrbey” High School - both the gymnasium and the outdoor sports field - an institution that is an important partner in our activities. This is where students who complete their practical training at BufKids study, and where many of our volunteers - teachers and students alike - are based, consistently supporting the Association’s projects. For this reason, we could not remain indifferent to the poor condition of the facilities in which they carried out their activities.

The gymnasium was partially renovated in 2023 using the Association’s own funds. In 2024, with the support of a €300,000 grant provided by ING Romania, the renovation works were completed: the locker rooms and the exterior of the building were modernized, and the sports field - previously degraded and unusable - was completely refurbished. Today, the sports campus is modern, safe, well equipped, and open to the entire community.
