Gratitude

Since yesterday marked the final day of our little Hercules carolers ”tour”, we felt the need for a kind of recap...post. This is a message of thanks and gratitude for a December filled with song, generosity, and joy.

This month we felt lucky because we met many extraordinary people and gained new friends.

  • Veeam – a producer and provider of backup and data recovery solutions – whom we caroled yesterday in Bucharest and who warmly welcomed us in their elegant offices and the ping-pong room.
  • Deloitte România, whose generous people came to visit us in Costești, full of gifts and determined to support us in the long term.
  • ASE students who found out about us thanks to Google and a group of eight medical students who raised money to buy winter jackets for all of our 50 children (we wrote previously on our Facebook pagea about both student groups).
  • The children and teachers from Central School of Bucharest, who invited us to carol together.

This month we felt pampered and were often in the spotlight.

This month we felt a bit like artists because, in turn, we gave a lot of joy with our carols. For the guitar accompaniment, we have to thank Marian, educatorIT specialist, cheerful game animator, pianist and guitarist beloved by the children and a key person at the Hercules Center.

This month we felt loved, appreciated, and privileged – because a truly special person, who is also the spiritual patron of the Hercules Center, chose to make a generous donation so that our children could enjoy 10 tablets and many other wonderful gifts at the Hercules Center. Thank you Andreas Gschwenter – board member Raiffeisen Bank International for supporting us from Vienna, appreciating us and being close to us. Thank you H. Stepic CEE Charity – the main partner of the Hercules Center – for all the wonderful people with whom you have given us the chance to work.

This month is gray and gloomy from many points of view, if we look a bit at the situation around us. But our children – just like all the children in the world – do not deserve grayness and worries; they deserve what you, good and generous people, had offered them: color, magic and smiles.

Thank you!

Merry Christmas and joyful holidays to all!
